St. George Pedestrian Accident: Woman Killed on River Road

A deadly traffic accident occurred early Tuesday morning in St. George, leaving one pedestrian dead after being struck by a pickup truck.
According to St. George police, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. along River Road near the intersection of East 700 South. A white pickup truck was traveling north when it made contact with a person who was crossing the street.
Emergency crews arrived quickly to assist. However, despite their efforts, the pedestrian did not survive the injuries. Officers secured the area while first responders worked at the scene, which caused temporary traffic delays.
Police are continuing to review what led up to the collision. At this time, no additional details about the victim or the driver have been released.
City officials are reminding both drivers and pedestrians to remain alert, especially during the early morning hours when visibility is lower and traffic begins to increase. Residents who travel along River Road are encouraged to use caution and allow extra time when passing through busy intersections.
