Dixie’s Got Talent Auditions Close July 26: How to Apply

Local performers across Washington County have just days left to enter Southern Utah’s premier annual talent competition. Virtual auditions for Dixie’s Got Talent 2026 remain open through Sunday, July 26, offering local acts an opportunity to share their craft, vie for cash prizes, and raise scholarship funds for Utah Tech University students.

Organized by the Utah Tech University Entertainment Alliance, the long-standing tradition showcases regional talent across multiple age divisions and performance styles.

Eligibility, Categories, and Video Rules

The competition is open exclusively to individuals and groups who currently reside in Washington County. Participants compete across three distinct categories:

  • Youth Division: Ages 3–17

  • Adult Division: Ages 18 and older

  • Group Division: Three or more performers of any age

For the initial round, contestants must record and upload a single, continuous video audition under two minutes in length, beginning with a brief introduction of their name and act.

To ensure fair competition, strict submission guidelines prohibit any post-production editing or digital enhancements. Auditions utilizing auto-tune, artificial intelligence enhancements, video cuts, digital filters, or color enhancements will be automatically disqualified. There is a non-refundable $20 fee per act to submit an entry.

Competition Timeline and Live Finale

Following the virtual screening phase, selected contestants will be invited to participate in in-person callback auditions on August 1. From there, judges will select the top eight acts in each category—creating a 24-act lineup for the final stage.

  • July 1–26: Virtual video auditions accepted online

  • August 1: In-person callback auditions (by invitation)

  • August 12 (9:00 AM): Finale tickets go on sale to the public ($20–$50)

  • September 12 (7:30 PM): Dixie’s Got Talent Finale at the America First Performing Arts Center (AFPAC) on the Utah Tech campus

The live finale takes place in conjunction with the City of St. George’s annual Dixie Days celebration. Category winners and runners-up will be determined through a combination of official judge scoring and live audience voting.
