St. George Direct Mobile App Privacy
App disclosure updated August 19, 2026. This section explains information used by the St. George Direct mobile app in addition to the website practices described above.
Deal verification and redemption history
When you choose to claim an exclusive deal, we use the email address you provide to send a one-time verification code, maintain secure deal access, enforce the offer’s one-time, monthly, or unlimited use rule, and show your redemption history. Deal verification does not subscribe you to marketing email. You can permanently delete this verified email access and its redemption history from the app Settings screen.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, the app stores an Expo push token, an app installation identifier, device platform, app version, and your selected alert topics. We use this information only to deliver the editor-controlled alerts you choose. You can pause topics in the app or revoke notification permission in iPhone Settings.
Saved items and app preferences
Saved stories, deals, businesses, onboarding status, and most app preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not used to subscribe you to marketing.
App activity and reliability
We collect limited, first-party aggregate events such as screen views, article opens and completion, saves, shares, directory contact actions, deal activity, notification opens, and app errors. This reporting is used to improve reliability, editorial navigation, and advertiser reporting. Our app analytics do not store the words you search, your email address, or a device advertising identifier. Error messages are sanitized before storage.
External services and links
The app uses services necessary for hosting, email verification, Apple app delivery, Expo notifications and updates, and links to third-party business websites and Google Business Profiles. Those external destinations have their own privacy practices.
Data retention and your choices
Verified deal sessions expire, while redemption records remain available until the associated deal access is deleted. Invalid push tokens are removed, and app error details are retained for up to 30 days. Aggregate event totals may be retained longer without direct identifiers.
