According to Heppler’s video report, the Intermountain Health Desert Color Parkway Clinic is planned to open in November. The 20,000 square foot facility is expected to provide family medicine, internal medicine, Instacare and onsite X ray services. For residents in southern St. George, that would place more routine and urgent care closer to home.

Across the highway near SunRiver, construction is also progressing on the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Heppler identifies it as the company’s first specialized care location in Southern Utah.

Brooker’s is a veteran owned shop with a colonial theme. Konala specializes in protein bowls and other fast casual options. The Break is targeting a spring opening, according to the video report.

Growth has brought more traffic to Exit 2, where the diverging interchange can be unfamiliar to some drivers. In the video, local attorney advises drivers to remain patient. If a turn is missed or a vehicle enters the wrong lane, drivers should follow the signs and safely loop back instead of attempting a sudden U turn.

Heppler also reports that planners are finalizing designs for an additional Interstate 15 entrance and exit near Desert Color, with construction expected to begin in the coming months. The video also highlights a future Buck’s Ace Hardware and a third Fabulous Freddy’s location as part of the area’s continued commercial growth.
