New In-N-Out St. George Location Now Open Near Exit 2

In-N-Out St. George Opens Today Near Exit 2

The wait is officially over.

In-N-Out Burger opened its newest Utah restaurant today, August 14, 2026, at 4643 South Pioneer Road in St. George.

The familiar red and yellow arrow is now part of the rapidly growing commercial area near Interstate 15’s Exit 2, giving residents on the south side of St. George a much closer place to grab a Double-Double, fries, and a shake.

The restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m. and, because opening day falls on a Friday, will remain open until 1:30 a.m.

The new location features indoor seating for 84 guests alongside a covered patio that accommodates an additional 76 diners.

St. George’s First Location Inside City Limits

Southern Utah is already familiar with the brand. The Washington City location on Telegraph Street has served the area for years as the company’s very first Utah restaurant.

However, this opening marks a milestone as the first official In-N-Out inside St. George city limits.

While the two locations are roughly eight miles apart, they serve distinct parts of the community. The Pioneer Road restaurant offers direct convenience for neighborhoods in south St. George, SunRiver, Desert Color, and surrounding areas.

Positioned right off Exit 2, it also serves as one of the very first dining stops for northbound travelers entering Utah.

For years, this southern corridor was primarily a stretch drivers passed through on their way to Las Vegas or the Arizona Strip. Rapid development of new homes, retail, and dining has transformed the area, with In-N-Out’s arrival serving as a clear indicator of St. George’s southward expansion.

New Restaurant Brings 40 Local Jobs

The St. George restaurant is managed by Jared Deadder, a 14-year veteran with In-N-Out.

According to company representatives, the location opens with approximately 40 local associates. Starting pay is set at $17.50 per hour, with hiring expected to continue over the coming months.

The location will maintain the chain’s standard fresh-food practices:

  • Hamburger patties delivered fresh and never frozen

  • Produce prepped in-house daily

  • French fries hand-cut from whole potatoes

  • Shakes made with real ice cream

Expect Opening Weekend Crowds

Even with an existing location nearby in Washington City, the Exit 2 opening is expected to draw substantial crowds through the weekend.

With one drive-thru lane, visitors during peak lunch and dinner hours should anticipate longer wait times. Heading inside for counter service or patio dining may offer a faster alternative if drive-thru lines back up onto Pioneer Road.

The restaurant’s late-night hours (open until 1:30 a.m. on weekends) also add a fresh late-night dining option for the south end of town.

Whether you plan to brave the opening weekend lines or wait a few weeks for traffic to settle, the new location highlights just how quickly Southern Utah continues to grow.
