A family holding close to what matters most
The photograph at the center of Josh’s fundraiser is full of ordinary family joy. Josh and his wife sit close with their three children in the Utah light, sharing the kind of moment every parent hopes to hold onto.
That is also what Josh says he is fighting for: more time with the people he loves.
Josh describes himself as a software engineer and an entrepreneur. His life changed after persistent headaches last winter led to a CT scan and the discovery of a tumor in the back right side of his brain.
According to Josh’s fundraiser, emergency surgery on February 13 removed the tumor. A biopsy later identified it as grade 4 glioblastoma.
What treatment looks like now
Josh says he recovered from surgery with minimal side effects. He has since completed radiation, continues high dose chemotherapy and is participating in a clinical trial in New York.
The treatment schedule has reshaped daily life for the entire family. Josh has gone on long term disability so he can focus on healing and on time with his wife and children.
That decision gives him room to put treatment and family first, but it also limits how much he can provide financially during an already uncertain season.
What support will help cover
More treatment options
Josh hopes to pursue promising therapies beyond the conventional treatment he has already received.
Family stability
Donations can help the family manage everyday needs while treatment limits Josh’s ability to work.
Time and flexibility
Financial breathing room can help the family respond to medical needs and protect time together.
Josh’s fundraiser is not built around a promise that the road will be easy. It is built around determination, gratitude and a family choosing to meet an overwhelming diagnosis together.
He also makes clear that support can take many forms. Contributions matter, but so do prayers, shared messages and acts of service that remind the family they are not carrying this alone.
How Utah can stand with the Hardman family
Readers can learn more, donate or share the family’s story through Josh Hardman’s official GoFundMe campaign.
For those who cannot give financially, sharing the verified campaign can still help it reach people who may be able to contribute. A thoughtful note, a prayer or a simple act of service can also bring real encouragement during a long treatment journey.
